No, Stanley Marcus, a liberal businessman in Dallas, never PUBLICLY said that he thought Lyndon Johnson was behind the JFK assassination.

But he said it privately to Harry Livingstone, the author of the book Killing the Truth on page 541.

That is if Stanley Marcus was the real person in Dallas who Harry Livingstone referred to in his book as "George Healey." Stanley Marcus was one of the Texans warning JFK not to go to Dallas because of its hard right political atmosphere.

Go to Chapter 17 in the Livingstone's Killing the Truth. Livingstone says he had a secret high level VIP Dallas source and says his pseudonym for him is "George Healey."

A careful reading of the Chapter 17 tells me that STANLEY MARCUS was Harry Livingstone's source "George Healey."

Stanley Marcus built a home in Dallas in 1937-1938 (10 Nonesuch Road address) and Frank Lloyd Wright was initially involved in the building of the home, although Stanley Marcus had to fire him and get a local architect Roscoe DeWitt to finish the project. Marcus was well known for being a Texas liberal, cultural and artistic. Stanley Marcus was also a friend of Lyndon Johnson. Stanley Marcus was a rich man and known as the token liberal of the Dallas Establishment.
