Folks, is sure is amazing that both Donald Trump and Joe Biden absolutely refuse to release the remaining CIA files on the JFK assassination. Obviously, there is something in there that is extremely embarrassing to the United States government. Sleepy Joe Biden has until December 15, 2022 to release these files or sign yet another illegal executive order to violate the JFK Records Act.

Birch O'Neal, who worked for James Angleton is probably someone who knew that Oswald was a fake defector and a CIA asset. 

James Walton Moore was the CIA man in Dallas and he told George de Mohrenschild three times to go check up on Oswald.

David Atlee Phillips was a JFK-hating alcoholic who was up to his bloody eyeballs in the JFK assassination just like he had been involved in the overthrow of the Guatemalan government in 1954 and the Chilean govt in 1973.

George Joannides was the CIA man who ran the DRE, which was an anti-Castro Cuban group that immediately started blaming Fidel Castro for the JFK assassination once CIA patsy Oswald was arrested. The CIA used George Joannides to block the HSCA from getting any good information on the JFK assassation.

What he is really admitting to is involvement in the JFK assassination.

The "Confession", you refer to was not in so many words as such. I cannot remember the time frames involved, but this was what was told to me by my father, James Atlee Phillips, who is deceased. He said that David had called him with reference to his (Davids), invitation to a dinner, by a man who was purportedly writing a book on the CIA. At this dinner, was also present a man who was identified only as the "Driver". David told Jim that he knew the man was there to identify him as Raul Salcedo, whose name you should be familiar with, if your research is accurate in this matter. David then told Jim that he had written a letter to the various media, as a "Preemptive Strike" , against any and all allegations about his involvement in the JFK assassination. Jim knew that David was the head of the "Retired Intelligence Officers of the CIA", or some such organization, and that he was extremely critical of JFK, and his policies. Jim knew at that point, that David was in some way, seriously involved in this matter and he and David argued rather vehemently, resulting in a silent hiatus between them that lasted almost six years according to Jim. Finally, as David was dying of irreversible lung cancer, he called Jim and there was apparently no reconciliation between them, as Jim asked David pointedly, "Were you in Dallas on that day"? David said, "Yes", and Jim hung the phone up.

Then there is former CIA director Richard Helms' ridiculous behavior - In 1978 former CIA Director Richard Helms exited from his executive-session testimony before the House Select Committee on Assassinations. He paused to talk with the press. Washington Post reporter George Lardner, Jr. described the encounter in his paper's August 10 edition:

 

Helms told reporters during a break that no one would ever know who or what Lee Harvey Oswald, named by the Warren Commission as Kennedy's assassin, represented. Born 1919 in Hartwell, GA, son of Southern Baptist Missionaries, grew up in Chefoo, China, and attended the China Inland Mission School in Chefoo from 1926 to 1936. Jim graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas and attended George Washington Law School in Washington D.C. Jim retired in 1978 after 38 years of Government service. He served with the F.B.I., the Navy, the O.S.S., the State Department and the C.I.A. He was stationed abroad in Tsingtao, China, and Calcutta, India; and in the United States in Washington, D.C., Springfield, Illinois, San Francisco, Calif., Houston, and Dallas. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, his son, three daughters, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, two sisters, and many loved nieces and nephews. The high point of his Military career took place on August 17, 1945, when as a member of a seven man paratroop team, he jumped into the Japanese Internment Camp in Weihsien, China, where many of his former professors of the C.I.M. School in China were interned and help liberate the 1,500 prisoners. As a youth Jim played many sports and when he was older derived much pleasure from handball and tennis. Jim was an active member of many retirement associations, including the Ex-F.B.I., the 101-O.S.S., the C.I.A. and CBI and Dallas BASHA. He was a member of the Southwest Handball Hall of Fame.
